how to clean saltwater aquarium stains?
ok i bought a used 180gal saltwater glass aquarium last week and the left side and back need to be cleaned, the problem is that it seems like the glass is like etched away or something, because i can not clear it up, i have tried a razor blade, saltwater aquarium cleaner, vinegar, white vinegar / salt soaking overnight, oxyclean, rough cleaning pads. and can not seem to clear the glass up at all, I will be putting snakes in it soo chemicals are not much of a problem because i will also let all the glass soak in white vinegar overnight again before i put he snakes in.
i used some real rough cleaning pad and actually scratched the glass very little and still didnt get the film off.
I have not been able to find anyone with this same problem online.
what is a way to fix this????
has anyone else had this problem????
I had hard water stains on what is now my leopard geckos tank from anoles that I had 10 years ago. I try the same things you did and had no luck. My dad finally got the glass clean by using a boat cleaning machine. It got all of the stains off.
